The Regitra driving theory exam includes questions on the following topics:

  • the importance of the driver's vigilance and attention to other road users;
  • awareness of the situation on the road, assessment and decision-making, reaction time;
  • changes in the ability to drive due to alcohol, drugs and other medications, psychological state and fatigue;
  • the most important principles of maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, stopping distance and staying on the road in various weather and road conditions;
  • driving risk factors associated with varying road conditions as they change due to weather and time of day;
  • safe driving in tunnels;
  • specific risk factors related to the inexperience of other road users and the most vulnerable road users: children, pedestrians, cyclists and people with disabilities;
  • the dangers associated with the movement and operation of different vehicle types and their drivers' different fields of vision;
  • documents required to operate the vehicle;
  • the driver's actions in the event of a traffic accident (placing warning signs and switching on the hazard warning lights, cases when it is mandatory to report the traffic accident to the police, and the driver's actions when the police are not called to the scene of the traffic accident) and the necessary steps to assist injured people;
  • safety factors related to the vehicle, cargo and passengers;
  • necessary precautions when leaving or dismounting from a vehicle;
  • mechanical aspects of the vehicle related to road safety: the most common failures and malfunctions related to the steering, suspension and braking systems, tires, lights and turn signals, reflectors, rear-view mirrors, windscreen and wipers, exhaust system, seat belts and audible warning device;
  • vehicle safety equipment: use of seat belts, head restraints, child safety equipment and fire extinguisher;
  • environmentally friendly use of the vehicle: proper use of the audible warning device, fuel-efficient driving and limiting pollutant emissions.

 

For drivers in categories AM, A1, A2 and A:

  • use of protective equipment such as gloves, boots, clothing and a safety helmet;
  • visibility of motorcyclists to other road users;
  • specific risk factors and road safety-related mechanical features of the vehicle.


For drivers in categories C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE and T:

  • recording driving and rest periods and the use of recording equipment in vehicles (except category T vehicles);
  • vehicle and transport documents required for national and international carriage of goods and passengers (except T-category vehicles);
  • actions the driver must take for the relevant mode of transport in the event of a traffic accident or fire;
  • precautions to be taken when removing and changing wheels (except T-category vehicles);
  • requirements regarding vehicle weight and dimensions, speed limiters;
  • obstructions in the driver's field of vision caused by the vehicle's characteristics;
  • understanding road maps, route planning (except T category vehicles);
  • safety factors related to the vehicle load: loading, securing and unloading cargo, characteristics of various types of loads and use of loading equipment (only for drivers of C1, C1E, C, CE category vehicles);
  • driver's responsibility for transporting passengers; passenger comfort and safety; carriage of children; mandatory pre-departure checks (only for drivers of D1, D, D1E, DE and T vehicle categories).


For drivers in categories C, CE, D and DE:

  • the design and operating principles of internal combustion engines, fluids, fuel systems, electrical systems, ignition systems and transmission systems;
  • lubrication and antifreeze protection;
  • principles of tire construction, installation, proper use and maintenance;
  • braking systems and speed limiters: types, main parts, principles of operation, connection, use and daily maintenance, use of the anti-lock braking system;
  • coupling systems: types, main parts, principles of operation, connection, use and daily maintenance (only for drivers of vehicles of categories CE, DE);
  • methods for identifying the causes of faults;
  • preventive vehicle maintenance and necessary routine repairs;
  • the driver's responsibility for loading, carrying and delivering goods according to the agreed conditions (only for drivers of vehicles of categories C, CE).
